This query is vague because I do not have much information. I only have the following info:
I am looking for a GOODEN(IN) that I believe came from Elbert County (or maybe a surrounding county). He supposedly killed a prominent Caucasian man between 1835-1870. _____GOODEN(IN) was said to have fled the state; maybe to Chicago, ILL. GOODEN(IN) returned to GA with the name of Judge CLEVELAND. He had either a brother or a son named McKinley(given name). Judge lived in Elbert County until he died in the 1890s - very early 1900s. He was approx. 70+ years at the time of his death.
