My Baker family came to Texas in the 1850's. They were in Elbert before Wilkes was created. As Primitive Baptists, they were members of Van Creek church. Some people claim William Baker was a son of John Baker, but I cannot verify this. I would like to find others who are descended from John to get any verification possible, wills, etc.
