I am looking for information on my great grandmother or great grandfathers parents or siblings. There names were Elizabeth Virginia Jane Phillips born June 4, 1834 and Matthew Augustin Phillips, Jr. born September 9, 1822. Elizabeth was married to a Dr. Owens before Matthew and had two children by Dr. Owens and nine with Matthew. Dr. Owens I believe died before the Civil War. I believe that Matthew was born in Virginia. They both died and are buried Ashley County Arkansas. I have been told by someone that wrote to me on the net that Matthews parents were killed in a fire when he was a child and he was raised by his grandparents the Mickelborough's, but I have never been able to confirm this information. If you have any information you can share I would appreciate it.
