I am searching for burial site for Penelope Tillman Carithers. She died around 1872 in Madison Co., GA. I have down that she is buried in the New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery but noone can verify that info. She was married to James Carithers (son of Robert Carithers and Mary Luckie). She is in the 1850 and 1860 census but I have not found her in the 1870 census. Her parents were William and Mary Farrow Tillman. I believe she was born in SC. Any information about this family would be extremely helpful. I would also like to know the names of their children (James and Penelope). I believe they had a second son named Amos Carithers but I cannot prove that. He was born in Madison Co., I believe, in 1814. He married Elizabeth Eleanor Thompson (daughter of William and Nancy Tillman Thompson) and yes Amos and Elizabeth were first cousins. I need written proof for any information that I use either in my book or in the applications to Colonial Dames or Magna Carta. Thank you so much.
