Miz Anderson, if there are any Confederate soldiers buried in the 'new' old graveyard, the local Son's of Confederate Veterans and/or Daughters of the Confederacy may be willing to help. A smart thing to do, if indeed there are CSA graves, is to contact those two organizations about doing a "Grave Marking Service". That will let more people be aware of the need. Those events are always covered by local newspapers. Just don't give up. Check with the county attorney; it's illegal to desicrate graves.
