I am descended from Leonard Barnett and Nancy E Gholston of Madison county. Leonard was a member of the 9th Batallion Ga Infantry. I believe Leonard to be son of David Barnett(dob 12/25/1776, Oglethorpe county?) and Louvicy Hays, and David to be son of William Barnett(dob 1729 or 1730 in Virginia?). Can anyone direct me to more information about this family? I've hit a brick wall!
