I am very interested in Rays and Nobles of GA that were in Jackson, Franklin, Morgan, and Clarke Counties from 1799 to 1815.
I find my John W. Ray (wife Elizabeth Noble/s) living next to his father Joseph Ray and his wife Anne in Clarke County in early 1800s. I found Joseph Ray on the Jackson Co. tax records in 1799.
Elizabeth's father Jonathan Noble (often spelled Nobles) and cousins Stephen Noble/s family also are living in the area until 1811 when the Nobles moved to Mississippi.
