Your query took me by surprise as for many years have been searching for a Amos Snell. First he was married to a Johnson from the records that I have and he moved into Jackson County, Florida and after killing a slave fled to Texas.His family is listed on some of the census and I believe the 1860 but i am not sure of that. I was searching for the Johnson family when I found that he had married a Johnson.
