I am searching for information on the family of Lorenzo Dow Hayes found in Columbia Co, then Warren Co, then Newton Co and also DeKalb County. My direct ancestor is his son, John F Hayes b 1835. I know there are numerous Hayes in Newton Co and feel sure there is some connection to those Hayes but have not found it.
John F Hays/Hayes last lived in Lithonia, DeKalb Co. He married Saleta Bohannon/Bohanan (9/1858) whose father was Isaiah W D Bohannon (b abt 1802 d 1853)whose land must have been close to the border of Newton Co.
