(Spelling varies from time to time) I have very little to start my search except that they lived in East Georgia, were Cherokee Indian, and migrated to Missouri, later Texas and Oklahoma. John may or may not have accompanied his family in the westward move. I believe that John had 6 male children and 1 female. Some info I have said the daughter was named Melissa. Based on family naming traditions, it is likely that the boys' names included William, Wesley, George and/or James. These names appear frequently in the descendants. If anyone has any info to offer on John Wilbourn, I would be truly appreciative. I have rather extensive info on his son, William Wesley Wilbourn's family to offer in exchange. Thanks,

I am searching for info on my Wilbourn/Wilburn family connections. My ggrandfather was William Wesley Wilbourn, b. abt 1820 in Georgia. By 1850 he was in Cooke County Texas, married to Rosella Strong b. abt 1831 in Ohio, and had patented a land grant there.
