I am looking for information about John P. King born about 1804 in NC and died July 1879 in Elbert Co. He married Matilda Bond 12 Dec 1822 in Elbert Co, lived in NC maybe until 1835, and then moved back to Elbert Co and lived there until he died. After his death, the 1880 census show Matilda living with the oldest daughter, Martha Jane King wife of William Riley Crook. I would like any information about this family, especially on King ancestors. The male sons and son-in-laws include: Willis B. King 26 May 1824, William Riley Crook 20 sep 1820, Rufus King 1835, David F. Barton 22 Sep 1843, Francis Marion Hall 22 Dec 1845, Henry M. Bond 1842 (died in Civil War), John M. King (died in Civil War), William W. Kerbee (Kirby) 26 Feb 1846. Information about any of the children's families would also be appreciated. Rufus King's wife was Harriet Elizabeth Eaves, daughter of William E. Eaves and Margaret Ann Maxwell, daughter of Joel Maxwell 1782.
