Posted by Mike Tomme My question is, the few remaining tall trees on the hill side beyond the cemetery at Young’s Chapel possibly the cemetery where Purnal TRUITT buried? This land has signage which says it belong to The Timber Co. Thank you for any and all assistance you maybe able to give. Mike Tomme

I am searching for the grave of my Revolutionary War Patriot, Purnal TRUITT, who I have been told was buried on Scull Shoals Road (Old Truitt Cemetery). The only two churches I saw was Bethel Methodist and Young’s Chapel. On a rough drawing by Janice Powell (at the Library in Washington, GA) said he was buried in a ceremery near Walton Hardin Church, behind a locked gate out about 70 yards in a field in a grove of trees.
