Posted by John Cooke I had the pleasure of attending the concert at Blackpool last week - purely by chance I was on holiday with my son and saw the posters and turned up on the night hoping to get in. I am so glad I did. I love the sixties music, especially Billy, but to see Tommy Bruce growl was great and a chap called Colin Paul do the a superb Elvis backed by a band as tight as a drum. The same band backed Jason Eddie and I really thought it was Billy. I never did see Billy live but I was thrilled. But a highlight was over too soon for me. I walked into the Ballroom just as this young girl called Laura started to sing with a simple guitar backing. What a voice - the clarity made me just stare. (well done sound crew). I knew it was going to be good because my son was clapping along with this tribute song to Billy called Legends.I see this song is not availible on CD yet. Let me know if/when it is. She sang Over the Rainbow with the guitar chap and the audience seemed captivated. Lastly, because I was so impressed I saw Laura later in the evening to say well done and found her to be a charming girl. A wonderful concert and a wonderful weekend. I wish every success to Laura Please respond about the CD Best wishes John Cooke
