I was given a cross stitch kit, the instructions are in German, which I don't read. I have done counted cross stitch before, but am not sure of how many strands of floss to use.

The Aida cloth counts out to 10 stitches an inch. The floss is DMC 25 with six strands. Do I use all six strands, or should I use fewer?
