Oh you are such a darling and this is exactly what I was after. The verse I had and have mislaid it over the past 36 years but cannot ever remember having a pattern.I would really love to see the pic
ture and will try and google the instruction book and see if I can buy it. I'm so delighted and excited to finally have someone that knows exactly what I meant. Thank you so very very much. I know my daughter will treasure this forever.

: Wow, what a coincidence, I happen to have a
: pattern to make one of these! It is from
: the Joyous Occasions: A Collection of
: Heirloom Hardanger Designs book by Emie
: Bishop. Although it does have hardanger
: work in it, you could just stitch the little
: floral pattern. Let me know if you would
: like a picture of the "Magic Hanky
: -Baby Bonnet".
: Here's a cute little verse that's in the
: book:
: I'm just a hanky as square as can be,
: But with a few stitches a bonnet I'll be.
: Worn home from the hospital or on
: christening day,
: I'll be carefully pressed and then put away.
: For her wedding day as we all have been
: told,
: Every beautiful bride must wear something
: old.
: What would be better than to find little me?
: A few stitches snipped and a hanky I'll be.
: And if it's a boy, someday he might wed;
: She'll carry the hanky he wore on his head.
