I'm a bit like Wendy and may misunderstand what you're trying to say.
Anyway if you want a pattern that is printed a specific way, I guess the best bet is to contact the seller of the pattern directly to ask if it's printed with "x"s the way your mother likes. It's a bit hard to know how they're printed as they don't display that on websites or give details like that.
