We lost Oh So Sweet last night. She was colicy and when the vet checked her she found that Oh So had a major problem going on with her small colon. Small colon surgery is very expensive and the vet gave Oh So a very poor prognosis so we made the difficult decision to end her suffering. Her poor colt is not quite two weeks old and is very scared and lonely right now. I tried giving him one of the mini donkeys for a friend but he didn't want anything to do with Velvet. He is learning to drink from a bottle and as soon as he gets used to the milk replacer we'll see if we can get him drinking from a bucket.
In the meantime, Precious Flame is really waxed up and her milk is turning white so I will be putting her on the cam sometime today.
