Posted by Irene We are up in the air on Magic's dam Midnite Melody right now. I really don't like selling any of our mares anyway, and I really hate to sell her without having the filly we wanted. We are going to try breeding her to Mystic Jamaal via shipped semen at least one cycle. If she gets in foal to him, then we will probably keep her. If she doesn't take the first time, then we'll make a decision on whether to try again with him, or breed her to NV Beau Bey and go ahead and sell her. We really need to cut back somewhere, especially if we keep some fillies from this year's crop. We are thinking about keeping Midnight Jamaal, he is gorgeous and since we only have Mystic Jamaal every other year, it would be nice to have a son of his here. However, the other two Mystic colts are extremely nice also and it is a tough decision on which one to keep. Mystic Silk is a great name, but you are right, the filly is by Beau - not Mystic. I would like to use Silk in her name and keep that line going, just trying to think of a great "Silk" name Irene

Thanks you, we are having a really great year. All the babies have been simply stunning. I love them all which in a way is bad because it makes it harder to sell some of them - LOL
