Then, conversely, there's the one where the Lord teaches us how to pray (you know, the Lord's prayer - 'Our Father'). So, as usual, you can quote scriptures on either side of an issue or argument.
As you said, you are not much of a sports fan. Neither am I. But to that lady in the stands, it was important. Maybe she was praying for a son on one of the teams to guard against injury. The judging job, my Brother, is already taken. It was for this reason that this bothered you enough to post about it.
