Posted by Karen I credit the United States Internal Revenue Service with this idea: FIRST: You reserve a story section, which means no one else may post or reserve this part of the story for 48 hours. SECOND: If you are done with the section in 48 hours, you just post it, and everything's OK. If you are NOT done with it, you post an "automatic extension" request within the 48 hour period. This automatically gives you another 48 hours to complete things. THIRD: If you cannot finish it after the second 48 hour period, you post to request another extension, and, if needed, post another request and another and another, and so on... FOUR: If anyone else wants to post the story section and is getting frustrated at how long it is taking you to complete your part, they can post a request that your previous extension be denied, and I'll decide whether to give them the reservation, or let you continue to work on it. Of course, people may just complain about how long you are taking, but unless they offer to do the section themselves, I will figure that they are just whining and you can take more time as far as I am concerned. It's better to know that someone is working on a story than to think that no one cares about it, IMHO. This is a poll, and I'd love your opinion about this idea. So light up a cigarette, or light up your favorite smoking lover's cigarette, and then tell me what y'all think! *smoky kisses*

Concerning reservations, and concerning Rod's dilemma, we said that once a reservation is made, you must finish your story section within 48 hours. But I don't see a whole queue of people anxiously waiting to write the next story section of the any of the stories here just yet, and I wanted to poll everyone about possibly changing the guidelines a bit.
