"guidelines") while thinking about messageboards in general and anticipating the variety of things that could happen as well as talking with a number of smoking fetish web friends and getting their opinions. One of the things that was discussed a lot was language and the terms of service and potential problems with stories getting out of control, so I tried hard to assure that wouldn't happen by instituting the password and also the means of obtaining it. I could have simply told people to write me for the password, but I thought it would be better if they could get it right away and not have to wait for me to return their email. With someone as lazy as me, who knows how long that might be... But this is as much YOUR board as it is my board. Your opinion counts a lot. As Vesperae had predicted, growth has been slow, and that makes sense based upon the password protection. So it's not terribly active just now and maybe that's disappointing some of you. If it is, tell me, and we can always change things a bit, if that's the consensus, or just let them slwoly grow on. For me, I don't mind that it grows slowly at first. Important and beautiful and lasting things, like oak trees, do take time in their development before they become strong and powerful. I think of it like developing a smoking habit. I wasn't doing four packs a day the first few weeks after starting to smoke, so I am not bothered that we don't have very many posts just yet. I have a feeling that it will grow nicely and slowly and become something really wonderful after a time, and that makes me happy. But, I wonder about how all of you feel? It ought not to be just my thing, especially in these early days, because we are all pioneers in this together. I think it's going good, and it will continue to get better and better but that's only my opinion. A: Want to see it grow faster. We ought to change something. Question 2: Is it too hard to get the password? We've been here 2 weeks now, and two story threads going. I like it, how about you ? I don't know how many people are checking this board with any regularity right now, certainly not a lot, but this is the best place to post this message, fersure... 
Also, I would end up repeating a lot of things that are now explained in the guidelines. So, that's why I did it the way that I did.
