Posted by Karen on 3/1/2002, 9:41 pm I did figure out what happened, and what went wrong, and I've fixed it now (I hope so, anyway). Ves was going to reply to Thomas when she discovered the problem, so I will give her whatever time she needs to make her reply before I do the password thing. I feel bad about this, and I apologize to V. I figure that after the butterfly and metamorphosis ideas, perhaps I am raising expectations too much for the new board. Be it known that I am embarking on a journey of learning and I will try my best, but I sincerely hope that no one anticipates anything totally fantastic, because it won't be, fersure! It will just be different, with hopefully good color and a nice picture and various stuff to spice it up and make it a happy place, but also not take much time to load, either. Stuffing it into the messageboard openings poses some restrictions, too, so expect some shortcomings, OK? Now, I'll give everyone my "top ten excuse list." Most of these excuses have really worked well for me in the past when I had no clue as to what I did wrong. Go ahead and use them yourself, pass them on, and trade 'em! *giggle* Top Ten Computer Mistake Excuses Excuse #10. Shit for brains. In my case, a plea of ignorance and stupidity is likely to be the correct answer, anyway Excuse #9. Power Failure. Everything was out for hours, including me. Despite the number of power plants that we have in the "keystone state," it's really surprising how often the power goes out. Really. Excuse #8. Tee too many tequilas. Shee thee sceens and crick on bussons and evershing's a brur. *hic* Excuse #7. My dog ate my mouse. I knew should have fed him before I sat down at the PC. See #10. Of course, I don't have a dog, but then see #8. Excuse #6. Lightning storm must have zapped something. When in doubt, blame the weather. Excuse #5. Klutz at the computer! The most logical answer. An effect of the blonde hair dye. Excuse #4. In the middle of working on the messageboard, I hiccuped and then all these bizarre screens came up. I had to restart to get it working again. Anything might have happened. Excuse #3. I had dropped my cigarette on the floor, and jumped to get it before it started burning the carpet, tumbling the keyboard and mouse onto the floor in the process. I don't know what happened after I got everything all straightened out, because there were six drop-down menus up there and I just picked something. Excuse #2. My fingernails are really too long, but I like them that way and I just had them done that day, so I was trying to make sure that the acrylic had dried long enough, and trying to press the keys with my fingertips and not paying much attention to what I was typing. Excuse #1. While I was reaching for another cigarette, my breast landed on the mouse and it moved it and clicked the button a number of times. I wasn't watching what was happening on the screen because I was busy lighting up and totally enjoying the experience. Those clicks really feel good when applied in the right place If I can ban Vesperae by mistake, there's no telling what may happen next. I fear we may be in for a roller coaster ride of mistakes until the computer stuff all settles down and we pull back into the station and get out of the cars and go out and light up. It can very scary when taking these rides. Of course, once outside the ride, and having a relaxing cigarette together, then it will be time to think about smoking and to think about the fetish and take a different kind of ride into our stories and have a world of fun See ya soon! *smoky kisses*
Beter watch out!
Better not cry.
Better not pout,
I'm tellin' you why,
Karen Klutz is comin'
To town!
V wrote me today to tell me that her address was banned from this messageboard. That was a shock! I can't think of anyone who has posted here that I would even consider banning, least of all the beautiful and insightful Vesperae!
