I am seeking any information about Lucy Winifred Macdonald, the wife of William Alister Macdonald the water colour painter who went off to Tahiti in 1920/21. She was, amongst other things, the Secretary of the (Royal) Miniaturist Society for many years and ran the Arlington Gallery in Bond Street London until the outbreak of the 1939-45 war, when it was destroyed in bombing.
Sher was born in Apri 1872 but at the present
time I have not yet discovered when she died. Her father was it is believed, William, ?Henry Cary, also a water colour painter. Any information will be gratefully received.
