My grandmother was Ella Blakie Falconer, (b. 28 Dec 1871 in Nova Scotia) daughter of James Falconer (b. abt 1843 in Nova Scotia) and Catherine Douglas (b. about 1845 in Scotland). This family is found on the 1871 census of Gairloch, Pictou County with daughter Jane, who could be an older sister. They are not found on the 1881 census nor on any Canada or US census. A relative married into the Murray family of Pictou - which one is unknown. Ella immigrated to Boston and married John McCullough from County Down, Ireland about 1889/90. Does anyone have any information on this family or which Falconer family James could be from? He seemed to have been a farmer. Any help would be appreciated.
