Hello again..I just wrote to you a few minutes ago and reading all the "Esquerita Talk and Trading" I fall again on one of your letters to other fans. I have got the "I never danced nowhere" CD on Charly since it was released and I offer you an exchange (friendly between SQ fans...I'm a big great Fan of His Majesty The Second King of R'N'R :in the Kicks interview SQ said that L.Richard is the King and I think so but SQ is not far...). So You say in your letter of 9/12/2002 that you bought the double CD "Northern Soul Fever 1" (I was just going to order it now as I've just been discovering the Esquerita Website since last July). So if you can send me a dupe of the double CD (Goldmine, GSCD 027)with photocopy of the sleeve notes (booklet)..then I WILL SEND you a dupe of "I never danced nowhere CD" with photocopy of the notes... I think we can have an interesting exchange of records an ideas and ...? being real fans... After reading the discography here I was planning to order several CDs : "The best of Hermitage", "Northern Soul Fever", "The cream of vintage soul","The best of Enrica"(I'm a Screamin Jay Hawkins fan too), but maybe we can help together...? About the mysterious Baton single with SQ on piano backing the Heavenly Echoes, In the Kicks magazine interview of 1983 SQ himself gives the information! Personnally I don't think SQ makes a confusion between "Heavenly Echoes" and "Clovertones"! He probably knows what he is talking about ! But the song "Didn't it rain" have been recorded by so many Gospel singers (I got the Fantastic version of Evelyn Freeman,1959)that it is possible that the Clovertones did it and if ENRICA Records started in 1959 there is a very little chance for them to have the same stuff as on Baton single MADE IN 1953 ! (SQ said in the interview)Waiting for answer....Gerard
