We would see Esquerita at the "Swinging Pad" on the old Broussard highway just outside of the Lafayette, Louisiana city limits in the very early 60's. He had this big hair like Little Richard but had a white streak down the middle. He wore glitzy clothes and a cape. HE COULD MAKE SOME MUSIC!!!!! Then he disappeared and we never heard of him again.
