I meet Esquerita in about 1968. A buddy of mine and I had cut school and drove down to the Sunset Strip to hang out and try and get loaded. We were walking down the strip, and a guy from across the street shouted from second story appartment window and asked us if we were going buy The Kalidascope Club. So we walked over to see what he was saying. We explained what we were doing and he invited us up to smoke some weed. Well, we had no Idea what we were in for!!!! We walked in and he was wearing this silk camono, and he was obviously WAY GAY!!!!!!!! The were pictures of him and Little Richard all over the place out to dinner, breakfast, and on the town. He never tried to put the moves on us, and was always very cool. We stopped by to see him on a couple of other occasions, and he was always the graciuos host, and would break out some pot to smoke. Or we would bring our own. At the time we had no idea who this guy was. Man were nieve!!!!!! Just thought I would share that little story, hope you enjoyed it.
