My husband has a Nikon 5700 digital and I have tried it - I still prefer my Nikon N90. The digital is GREAT for portraits and close-ups especially. But for action shots, it just doesn't get it. There are digitals that will get great actions shots, but I think you are looking at over $2,000 just for the body. Right now I run a Nikon N90 and a Canon EOS. They are pretty much identical in what they can do but I do think the Canon is a little better for close-ups. This is a picture that I took with my N90 at a horse expo in Anchorage, AK.
