Christine, I too shoot with the Nikon D1X and I absolutely love it. I started with the Fuji S1 and very quickly upgraded to the D1X. The only thing I can't do with it is the fast sequence shots. When I need to do that I go back to my F5's. That is really the only drawback that I find with the D1x. I don't know anyone using the D100 yet. I am anxious to see how it performs. It is so nice to have all the different cameras all use the same lenses. A big plus in my book. Good luck with your decision and let us know what you pick.
