Melody, go to the EPNet Newsletter archives to read all about shooting horse shows, I wrote an article about it in the April issue that will explain my own system for keeping track of everything. Just click on the link below. For draft horse shows, yes, I shoot from inside the ring, unless the judge requests me not too, sometimes it gets a little crowded when the six horse hitches come in and if you don't know how classes like this are run can be downright dangerous. Don't use a tripod, it will only sloe you down.
