This may be a dumb question, but I'm going to be shooting a draft horse show soon and wanted to know where the best place to shoot from would be. Do you shoot from in the ring or a good vantage point outside of the ring? Also, in carriage classes (or in this case unicorn to six horse hitch), is it wise to shoot from inside the ring? Also, would you recommend using a tripod, or just going with a fast film/shutter speed? I have photographed a lot of drafts in the field, but if anyone has any advice for the show ring, that would be great. Thanks!
