What breed are you talking about?? Different breeds are stood up differently. I think you are asking about hunters (from your other emails) You do want to see both hind legs. The one farthest from you will be in front of the one closest to you. That way the hip and topline look balanced on the side you are photographing. How much of a split between the 2 legs will depend upon which breed/type of horse you are photographing.
