One of the bigger issues with going digital is the shutter lag with them. Don't get confused that just because it is a more expensive camera that it will necessarily be better on all qualities, I talked with the local photography shop in my area and they actually talked me out of getting a canon 1d and 5d because of the shutter lag and had suggested that a 20d or 40d would be better. I would suggest talking with someone in a photography equipment shop and see what they say. I actually am looking at going back to the old fashion 35mm film because I still don't like the lag that digitals are producing and it doesn't capture the exact moment that I want. Just my 2 cents
