Posted by MN~Sue on 3/6/2005, 3:16 pm, in reply to "Hi Sue & Gloria!" So glad you are joining us here too! I hope our 'us' grows, haha. I think this could be a lot of fun for us as a group and VERY good for us at the same time I tried last spring and summer to walk outside, after our treadmill broke down, but then the darn liver problems and swelling up like a balloon put an end to that. NOW we have a GREAT new treadmill ~ NOTHING better get in the way this time!!!! GARDENING!!!! Oh, that sounds lovely and so FOREIGN at this time of year, looking out my window, haha. We have heaps of snow!!! BUT guess what - it is in the mid 50's today!!!! Tomorrow back to reality, only 20's. I haven't even gotten outside - UGH - I HAVE to before the temp starts to drop too much, it's already after 3 pm. I sit down here and I don't get away - would think I am bolted down, haha. But, had posts I wanted to answer and messages of my own and other things for the forum pages, so it all takes me a long time... Terry is home from work now and I was going to go get groceries and he tried calling before he left work and I had taken the phone ringer off so it wouldn't wake me before 9 am and forgot to turn it back on. He wanted to know if I wanted him to pick up some meat to grill on this WARM! day, but then he figured I was at the store when I didn't answer. Dumb me - so I should get to the store here very soon, IF I am going - otherwise, I will go after my doctor appt tomorrow. I hope your muscles have recovered? I can understand why you are sore. I hope your family is feeling better? DON'T catch it, Becky, that's an order!!! Thanks for sharing, dear friend. SO glad you are jumping on the band wagon
Hi Becky,
One's mind has to be in the right mindset though, otherwise it doesn't work so well - but maybe we can help get others in the mindset for healthier eating and exercising, for those that can. I know endo can really interfere with the exercise part and even the eating right part - when you don't feel well enough to cook and shop or even eat. It did for me!!! NOW I have NO excuse. regarding the exercise!!! Shopping and cooking can still be difficult with the FMS, but if I plan and pace myself, I can do an okay job, most of the time, hopefully. I almost feel like an EX-endo-ite at this point, now that I am in menopause. I am SOOOOOOOOOO thankful!!!! Wish I could say the same for the FMS, but the thyroid treatment is helping me to do better. FMS makes exercising harder, but exercising is IMPORTANT for FMSers, so I need to do it rather than avoid it. I tried so hard years ago to exercise regularly on the treadmill I bought and doing my yoga for weight contol and to help my FMS, but my endo went through the roof and I had no choice but stop. I am so excited about being able to do it now again!! I just have to do it smartly, not to cause problems.![]()

Love,
Sue
