Posted by MN~Sue on 3/6/2005, 12:54 pm 3:00 - 1 T. peanut butter (95 cal), 1 piece WW bread (80 cal), 8 oz skim milk (90 cal). I was feeling a hint of my blood sugar dropping, so ate at that time. I was not shaking. I think this may have occurred partly due to not eating enough, more than a carb reaction, but it may have been a bit of both. I was going to walk on the treadmill and the snack did the trick to keep my blood sugar stabilized. 3:30-4:00 - Treadmill. I bumped up to 1 mile today and walked faster than the first day. Each time, I have felt I could do considerably more and at a faster pace, but I am trying to play it smart so as not to put my muscles in a Fibro Flare. So far, so good! 7:00 - We had a later dinner since Terry had to work this weekend and then walked on the treadmill when he got home. I made tenderized round steak (we buy our beef in bulk from a butcher and he puts the round stead through a machine that tenderizes it - works great - the steak is very tender, but has a different texture from regular steak with this process). Round steak is lower in calories, so this is a 'good thing.' Dinner: Piece of round steak, green pepper, onion, mushrooms. I grilled all these items on our George Foreman indoor grill, which also reduces the fat content. Steamed carrots, 2 black olives. 12:00 am - 1 pear, 1/8 cup almonds Water for the day: 4 glasses By the end of the day, my back was hurting quite a bit, as I had done a lot of standing again - treadmill, filling bird feeders, house work, then right into preparing dinner and dishes and more projects after that. I decided that the next day would be best to not walk and give my muscles one day to recover (too bad FMS dictates this, but it does).
10:20 am - 1/2 hamburger (left over from Applebee's) ![]()
