Posted by MN~Sue on 3/6/2005, 12:37 pm Going to catch up here with posting this daily account. I am hoping this sort of thing will help us to stay on track Friday: 10:30 Oatmeal (3/4 c. dry oats), made w/milk instead of water (I am trying to increase my calcium intake), 1 tsp of brown sugar on top. 2:15 LOW Blood Sugar hit, shaking, anxious, have to eat to bring it up. 2:25 (left overs) chicken, green pepper, onion, tomato, fresh cilantro, tortilla wrap 3:00 Began to feel better, blood sugar stabilizing 8:30 Late dinner, as we went to the Home Show in town. Ate at Applebee's. I ordered the hamburger/no fries, substitue a salad, 2 ice tea. I ate 1/2 the burger took the rest home. 3:10 am (still up - I know - go to bed!) 1/4 cup smoked almonds Water for the day: 3 glasses and 2 Ice Tea Exercise: I had hoped to do a slow walk on the treadmill, but I realized I wasn't going to have enough time to after my blood sugar dropped and I had to eat and wait for it to stabilize. I did get some exercise walking around the Home Show for over 3 hours though, but most of it was standing. My back was not feeling so well after that, but I did okay. I didn't feel so bad, because even Terry, whom is fit said his back was bothering him from all the standing. I think it is much harder to stand for lengths of time, than it is if you are walking. By charting my food and times I am eating, it will help to show the patterns of the blood sugar swings. I know that my first meal of the day cannot be all carbs, because 3+ hours later it dives. This was shown over the past few days of charting. Every other day I ate protein along with carbs for my 1st meal and did not have the bad drop. Yesterday (Sat), I had a teensy indication only. I'll chart that on the next post. Love,

Hi Friends,
I will probably tire of posting it every day and not sure it would be of interest to anyone, haha ... but thought maybe in the beginning until we establish a healthy eating and/or exercising regimin it might be a good idea. I will continue to track it in my notebook at home, however.
Sue
