Posted by MN~Sue on 3/4/2005, 1:04 pm, in reply to "Sue(MN~Sue)" Thanks for the additional info. I remember you sharing about it a bit on the endo forum. It sounds interesting. I had never heard of anything like this, before you mentioned. I'm glad that you and your doc are no longer concerned that the weight loss may have been due to a health problem. I remember you talked about food just not tasting as good to you and also all the stress. I am sure with your new teeth that food just doesn't have the same pleasure (which in my case would be a good thing, haha!). I think part of the flavor comes from the palette (sp?). Glad you are joining us here, since you want to lose some more weight. Hopefully we can help motivate each other to stick to our goals, whether they be to lose weight, improve our diet, conditioning, etc...I think having a support system would help us. I AGREE, a person has to be ready and committed to take on the challenge!! That is so true! I really feel that way right now - I hope it lasts longer than the time before for me, though, LOL!! I just HAVE to reverse this scary upward climb!!! I did good yesterday and woke up feeling motivated again today...one day at a time! I think it's a good time of year to start on it, with spring approaching and wanting to feel and look better for the best time of the year for many of us - spring and summer - when we want to and need to be active outdoors more. I surely can understand Shelly gaining weight with all she is dealing with and the all the emotions. A relative of mine said her eating was out of control when she was going through a divorce. Her comment was that it seemed most people in 'that' situation usually eat less and lose weight, but she had the opposite reaction, wanted to eat more. She is a string bean, so don't think it had much impact weight-wise, just impacted the way she felt, wanting to eat all the time. Shelly is invited to join us here if she would like to. Love,
Hi Gloria,
