I have a digital scale, so it's pretty accurate. Wooooo Hoooooo I'm excited. Well, let's see, I stuck with my WOE today. It was an okay day. Got the shakes a bit an hour or so after eating lunch. I was going out to do errands, and driving to the library, and got a bit uneasy feeling. It could be hormones, or because it was so sunny that it got hot in the car (I tend to be sensitive to temperature changes). Whatever it was, it passed. I drank about 8 ounces of water and all seemed fine. My chocolate craving was satified this evening. As a reward for sticking to the plan for a week, I had a zero calorie, low carb chocolate bar. Smaller than a Hersheys bar, but ohhhhhh it tasted good. Has anyone seen Suzanne Somers on t.v. lately? She was on the Today show yesterday, on The View today. She has a new book out. My name is on the waiting list at the library. They have 3 copies, but all are out. The book JUST CAME OUT !! Sheeesh. This WOE doesn't deal with low-fat products being the only way to go. As a matter of fact, you can have cheese, sour cream, whipping cream, etc. Recently in the news they reported that Low-Fat is NOT reducing cholesterol levels as much as previously thought. "The researchers compared the low-carbohydrate diet popularized by cardiologist Robert Atkins, MD, with a low-fat diet, and found that subjects on the Atkins diet lost more weight and realized greater improvements in their cholesterol levels than did subjects on a low-fat diet," click for article Keep in mind, I am not on the Atkins diet, it's more of a spin-off or modified/improved version. I did pedal my exercise bike for 10 minutes yesterday. Sure felt it today! So, I skipped today and will jump back on tomorrow. That's it for now. Thanks for listening. A Slimmer Me in '03
