EC as Bainbridge in former life but was also highly evolved Ra-Ta

I have been reading Edgar Cayce's books since 1969 and I am very interested in the soul's evolution. So, I am very much trying to understand why EC came back as John Bainbridge who was a mercenary in the British Army prior to the War for Independence when in another life he was Ra-Ta which he was closer to being an Egyptian Christ. It certainly says we do not progress in a linear fashion to say the least. I would like to know if there is a book about EC and his life as Ra-Ta where there is more detail about that life.
