It was the way the pack went, when the Alpha wasn't busy it was usually the Beta who was. Today was no different. Bandido had chosen to travel to Ice to congratulate Black Rain or to offer condolences if it turns out they were needed...but more than anything to offer a helping paw. The green tigress was a bit jealous she wanted to give her comrade a joyous paw in his victory too...but the duty was the Alphas...which meant Taniku had to work the large borders alone. Still the green feline was in a chipper mood as she sauntered to the southern borders nearer the woody terrain.
Taniku sighed it was almost time, time for her first two mythes and introduction to her family to be parting from this world, It would be hard for her to lose Tumatri or Zea even with the new stacks of joy they'd brought her...it was an irreplaceable bond between her and those two and a silent understanding and sibling love between the two. Taniku's thoughts drifted as the cool of the trees hit her fur her thoughts were on nothing in particular she sighed as she bounded around the trees. She could feel the summer was nearing an end...and still the tiger had not found a den yet...she'd just been sleeping in the trees and she was not about go digging one.
Taniku's eyes surveyed the land quickly looking for anything out of place. She sniffed the air for any smell she did not recognize...there was shift in her ears for any sound that did not belong. Still nothing...you know she wasn't sure how Bandido kept the boredom away as she patrolled. there was a small flash of something that caught her eye as Taniku walked past. A thick bush over a badger's hole...the family long gone...there would need to be a widening of the entrance but upon getting in Taniku figured either the family of four was fat badgers or they had a lot of babies...either way it goes it would call for very little work on the tiger's part and she was happy with it's location. In the Forested part of the pack protected from much of the weather and hidden from view. Taniku would come back later this evening to work in the dark but until then Taniku continued her patrol. The feline wished for a bit of company...
