PinkRose lay beside the egg as always. Crack Pinkrose leapt to her feet and stared at the large blue and green swirled egg. The dragon kit pushed his head up out of a small in the shell. Akwardly he pushed wings. With a sudden and quick movent he opened his wings open, sending shell across the small den. Finally he turned his head to look at the little house cat. "Mother?"
"You may call me that if you wish." Pinkrose responded. The dragon sat and nodded his head. He sat up and touched his chest with his tail. "Name?"
"You're name is EagleEyes."
"Water?"
"Come and we'll get you a drink." Pinkrose walked out of the den leading EagleEayes to the frozen puddle. She softly pressed the ice so that the cold water seeped up from under it. EagleEyes sniffed at it before sneezing. He looked around and found a large pile of snow. Happily he leaped into it before leaping out shivering. Pinkrose suddenly burst out laughing at the sight. "Go insidde and warm up. I have to talk to some one." The house cat said through giggling. EagleEyes obiedienlty crawled into the den curling in the nest his caretaker had no doubt made for his egg. Pinkrose gave out a roar that sounded intimidating as it bounced off trees. She needed advice now that the egg had hatched.
