The pain had become unbearable. The feline landed early and struggled to walk the few steps to her den. A place she'd chosen that was close to the border. It was shady...with grass and trees all around. Her den was lined with fur...she took from kills she found and her own back as spring took her fur. Taniku tried to keep the egg balanced in her mouth...although it was cracked and she could feel a sharp prick in the top of her mouth...
The contractions came in a wave of pain...she dropped the egg...The final crack it needed for the feathered winged dragon to pop out. The small creature landed in the den and didn't sustain any major injuries. She shook her head...looked at the laboring tiger, "What's my name?"
Taniku pushed the dragon kit aside..."That will have to wait." she said in slight pain. Lucky for all of them...this den was dug when Taniku had three walking cubs and two dragon kits so it was quite large and hidden under neath a bush. Only pack members knew it was there. There was sudden roar of pain, loud enough to be heard for miles. Taniku curled in pain...finally there was a grunt. First came her son. The cub was quite large...tale tale of a first born. She cleaned him...as he made his way to take his first drink. His eye were still closed and his ears folded down. "Travesty." She spoke. She looked at him with loving eyes. His orange body and black stripes...as she cleaned his belly it wasn't just white...his was a slight mossy green. something of hers and something of his.
A mother/son moment that just wouldn't last. There was another rush of pain and grunt...the second was smaller than the first. She was quite easier to deliver. The cream and black striped cub squirmed at she was being cleaned...her fur dried it would show slight tints of green around her face and back. Like her brother her life had no light and her head heard few sounds. Still, "Yiska" was said by Taniku as she watched the two fight over a place to drink.
Taniku was tired, but she didn't want to forget, "Maiara. That's your name little one" The mother was tired and she didn't want to move. It was over. She'd brought new life. Both was larger than the previous three when they were born. They growled softly in pleasure as they repeatedly punched the spot of their choosing. The sensation tickled Taniku.
Maiara looked on in amazement. She had just experienced life in it's greatest form. She went to the other side of Taniku...the "Life Bringer" and laid her head on her paws. They were all tired...as the cubs fed Taniku and Maiara both prepared to sleep.
((I left her kind of awake in case someone wants to reply...It's open))
