Yaotl spread his wings and leapt at the sight of Gir-rowel's swift start. The smokey grey hadn't seen the rabbit, therefore he simply believed this was the start of the race. He was fairly swift, so he managed to keep close to the greyhound's heels. In a matter of seconds, he spotted the rabbit and watched Gir-rowel make the kill. Yaotl landed, skidding a few feet due to the abrupt stop on the cold and icy ground. A grin made it's way across the young dragon's muzzle; this dog was certainly interesting. He wondered if Bandido would speak with him more, maybe even give him other things to do besides baby-sit hatchlings. Yaotl made a mental note to share his opinion with his 'mother'.
Quetz and Etal were puzzled for a moment, for both Gir-rowel and Yaotl had begun without even getting to 'three'. Their only cue to move, if it could be considered such, were the dog's barks. Etal frowned, but Quetz laughed and began to bound forward using his wings to give him more of a push forward between his brief touches to the ground. Etal snorted, rather upset they had left him behind. The only thing that made him move was the snow-winged glider calling back to him, "Come on slow poke!"
The blue metal dragon huffed a little before taking on on all fours, for he couldn't quiet fly yet. He didn't even see Gir-rowel catch the rabbit. Quetz hadn't noticed either. The two knew neither of them had won, but they get going just to see if the winner was Gir-rowel or Yaotl.
