"All right, children, on my bark will all go. One ... two ..." Gir-rowel was just about to bark on three, but something caught his excellent eyes that made his freeze like ice.
Over in the distance, hopping towards their finish line, was a white hare. Gir-rowel felt himself in the cages, many other dogs barking and whimpering. The doors had suddenly open, he was free to chase the rabbit. The Gray Hound bolted towards the hare, barking twice. In seconds he was reaching forty five miles per hour, a faster speed reached more quickly than a wolf could. The snow was think around here, giving Gir-rowel enough grip and little drag. His mind was out of control, his attention locked only on the hare and everything else was forgotten.
The hare spotted the golden dog and bounded away. Gir-rowel followed it with his endless determination. The hound followed it into the woods, disappearing in the trees.
Silence.
The scream of a small animal sounded. Gir-rowel trotted back with the hare in his mouth, it's spine distorted by his jaws. He dropped it and looked at it, panting heavily. Not once had he ever caught them magical hare.
