"Tsuki no Hikari," he said automatically. "That's my name." One silver-blue eye turned so that he could look at her without moving his head away from the egg. "So it is a dragon? I was not completely sure. I found it lying lone in the snow in a grove of trees. I was afraid it would freeze, so I took it." As kind as he was, his inherent vulpine nature was that of a thief. He did not know whether the egg had been abandoned or still had a parent or keeper wondering where it was, and he honestly didn't care. Anyone who would leave such a small dragon egg out in the cold didn't deserve it anyway.
