While it does not appear that anyone but me post on this site, here goes anyway. While Senator Lott is being apologetic to the much coveted African voters, he does not seem to feel the same way towards the largely European voters who have supported him over the last 30 years in which he has had the honor of serving Mississippi in Washington. He claimed that "WE" are proud of voting for a segregationist agenda back in 1948. "WE" are NOT proud of Jim Crow laws, nor do we wish to play the race card. WE wish to move forward and see everyone treated fairly. I for one am sick of hearing about Mississippi's past problems and how we should be judged by 1960's standards. The last person who should be embarrassing white( I'm sorry I mean European American) Mississippians is our elected Senator. Mr. Lott will never obtain the NAACP's support but he has our's. At least for now!!
