Posted by Elizabeth Caroselli I have done much research, and yes, they were all born in Duronia. I have records from Campobasso, but is there a repository of records going back to 1841 in Duronia? My research of the Jersey City 1900, 1910 and 1920 censuses reads as if it were the list of surnames on the Duronia site. Seems they migrated together and settled together on the same block for decades. My husband's paternal grandparents were Filodeo Carosella and Rose De Vincenso, and his maternal grandparents were Domenico Carosella and Clorinda Beltocco. Two of my husband's uncles, Franceschini and Federico, stayed behind in Italy. The notes I have about them is that they were in the Italian Army and one taught English, the other math. If anyone there is a direct descendent, I will be happy to send you a copy of a photo, circa 1900, of them. I am hoping next spring to visit Duronia and do some research so my children will have these records to pass on. If someone can tell me the best way to travel to Duronia (i.e., which airport to fly into and how best to get there) it would be much appreciated. Thank you. Elizabeth Caroselli

Back on August 18th I posted an inquiry for any information relating to the Carosella family.
