everyone is getting a refund or exchange for tickets (locals and tourists) - kind of sad though for all those people who did exactly what you said and flew here to see their favorite shows - on many occasions i went to california (and connecticut and washington dc and ..... i digress) to see our douglas!
but there are many shows to see in ny - some broadway and all off-broadway and then there's radio city.
