Poughkeepsie means "campsite by small water" It'll be 105 degrees in Poughkeepsie this Wednesday (August 2nd), but with the heat index it'll feel more like 110-115 (we left just in time!) The population of Poughkeepsie is 44,708 (that one's all for you, Van) Jerry Christmas played the Theatreworks New Works Festival in 2003 (which is only 20 miles from my house), but I would only have seen Act 1 and certainly wouldn't have seen this cast Jerry Christmas started as a play before the creatives decided to musicalize it The character of Jerry Baron was originally named Jerry Bacon--lending a whole new meaning to being a Christmas Ham Ok...now to start collecting my thoughts on the actual show
