Posted by rillani on 2/23/2004, 10:27 pm I was with some friends (people I don't know in real life) at the top of a building that was nestled among very steep hills. We were in what was probably the west part of San Francisco, minus most of the buildings. We could see the ocean in the west, and it looked like it was rising very quickly. I got frightened, and started flying (I can often do this in dreams), but it wasn't easy. One of the people with me, a girl wearing a red and black shirt, couldn't fly, so I willed her to fly with what "power" I had left. We went eastward, and I could still see the water rise. In a large cove, three humpback whales were beaching themselves, as if they wanted to climb onto land. When I reached downtown, I was alone, and all the skyscrapers were in ruins. In the north, I could see Seattle, which, for some reason, was still dry and safe. But after reading the story of the solar eclipse dream, I am not sure mine was a wholly personal one. The similarity of feminine symbols rising in the west, and that both dreams were located in San Francisco lead me to think my dream was not. Also, my helping the girl fly seems important. Perhaps that was symbolic of using a masculine trait (willpower) to raise the feminine? Maybe there really is something big happening that will change the world. Who knows?

Not very long ago, I had a strange dream that I think has some parallels to the Solar Eclipse dream mentioned in venusandeve.net. My dream had a lot in it, so I will just give a brief summary here.
Now I am a very rational girl, and I do not often connect with my own feelings, so I interpreted this dream as relating to my emotions. Water is usually associated with emotion and the feminine. My analysis of the dream was that by running from my emotions (the rising sea), I would become isolated (alone in the city) and probably unhappy.
